Katie disguised as Mina.
Katie Maurice is an antagonist in the hit manga/anime series Dance in the Vampire Bund. She was originally called Mina Tepes, or the fake princess, but was named Katie Maurice, by Yuki Saegusa, which derives from a character in the literature Anne of Green Gables.
In truth she is actually the bastard daughter of Rozenmann, who raped the original Tepes progenitor to create Katie for his own plans. When she proved unstable due to their bloodline having become thinned, Katie was abandoned
Appearance[]
In terms of appearance, Katie looks exactly like Mina's child form when in a prepubescent stage. She has crimson eyes, fangs, and blond hair. Her hair is usually tied up in twin tails with three, black tailed, identical ribbons used as the bands/hair ties to hold them up; however, after it was discovered that she was an impostor, she later changed this hair style.

Katie is a foil to Mina. Mina acts cruel and tough as a ruler, having a kinder and more vulnerable side; Katie flaunts her power to command and stirs up chaos for her own amusement. (Rather than simply use her Telomere operatives dig under Mount Fuji, Katie orchestrated an elaborate plan to replace Mina and force the Fangless to do so.) She detests the Fangless, forcing the to dig without rest or concern for their safety. Katie is knowledgeable about the true history of the Tepes blood line, and is seeking a way to stay alive. Katie is jealous of Mina's closeness to Akira and Yuki. Like Mina, Katie tends to jump to conclusions; though hers comes from miscalculations. Unaware Mina chose to build the Bund in Akira's home city to be closer to him, Katie believed Mina was subconsciously drawn to the Red Jewel.
Katie does feel some sympathy for others, specifically those who are targeted unfairly by fate. Upon learning of Phoebe, Katie mused on how the poor child would be at the center of conflict between the werewolves.
She is clever enough to keep her best operatives away from each other if she foresees that any bad blood in the past will cause trouble for her plans. For over seven years, Katie kept Angie in the dark about where Tatiana was; she knew Angie suspected Tatiana of causing Graham's betrayal.
