Tatiana is the elder sister to Surnin.
Tatiana is a Telomere operative, trained and protected by them. She is one of Katie's independent agents, carrying out tasks by proxy for Katie or locating valuable targets.
Story[]
Tatiana holds a grudge against Akira for what happened to her brother during their trial. However, this was her own fault, as Surnin had attempted to convince Graham (who had decided against following his grandfather's order) to kill Akira with him; this sent Angie into a rage, leaving Surnin for dead and Graham killed by Akira when he took the blame.
2013[]
Years later she ended up in China under the name of Mei Rin, finding Min Mei, the long lost sister of Lord Li. Tatiana became an older sister figure to the oblivious vampire, coming to see her as a surrogate for Surnin. When Katie released the Pied Piper into the population, Tatiana followed the plan to take "refugees" to the Bund to seek help; among them was Min Mei. (The other vampires were immune due to being turned by Min Mei, a vampire from a noble lineage)
Once their ship ran out of fuel a short distance from Japan, the vampires were eventually found and located to a facility on the mainland, while Tatiana moved to the Bund. Upon seeing Akira alive, Tatiana began concocting schemes to kill him; however, all she managed was temporarily putting Yuki in a wheelchair with aphasia.
Tatiana partially transformed
Helping Min Mei escape the facility during an attack by Ivanovic's forces, Tatiana took her into hiding; human admirers allowed Min Mei to drink their blood, unintentionally passing the Pied Piper to them and making them carriers. This resulted in the new vampires helping spread the Piper nanomachines to those they bit, allowing chaos to spread through Tokyo at a faster rate.
They were found by Li's agents repeatedly, having discovered Min Mei's true identity. However, a joint sting operation between Akira Garcia and Seiji Hama resulted in not only the defeat of Li's agents, but Tatiana forcing herself to show her true colors. She promptly fled back to Telomere.
Seven Years Later[]
Tatiana attempted to win Phoebe Schroeder over by explaining the horrible past of female werewolves in the Earth Clan in order to make her distrust Yuuhi, Cal and Aaron. Though it's implied her information is a bit outdated, as the past she spoke of was during barbaric eras.
Ultimately, she is defeated by Akira, while Phoebe is calmed and accepted for her chosen identity by her fellow werewolves. While fleeing, she met Min Mei, who had snuck along; Tatiana attempts to make Min Mei hate her with lies that she was only ever a tool to her. However, when Min Mei's hair starts catching fire from the sunlight, Tatiana shielded her and put her helmet back on. Tatiana later attacks the duo from the Creatures of Avida planning to blow herself up with them to end her anguish. Wishing Phoebe would not to end up like herself, Tatiana is pulled into a void by the rabbit with the Cerberus werewolf following.
Trivia[]
- Her ability to transform was a secret kept from her family, or a result of experiments by Telomere to cause activism in her dormant genes.
- Tatiana is smart enough to think ahead about transforming. If she's somewhere cold, she will only partially change, to avoid destroying her clothes. Though once she loses her temper, Tatiana casts the notion away.
- She truly loves Min Mei as her own sister, protecting her from the sunlight after she removed her protective helmet.
